Maps
In the coming days the grade IX students will be learning about maps. Thematic maps. Distribution maps. Dot, Choropleth and Isopleth maps.
As their teacher I want them to see the relevance and power of maps. How they help us to understand trends and patterns around us and make connections of the same with the regions.
I've downloaded few maps from the World Bank website. What I plan for the students is that we will write a short summary for every map.
I'd also want the students to create maps. Nothing engages the mind as well as creating. When you get your hands dirty, the brain kicks in.
